I think I remember Ft Benning is going to be renamed Ft. Moore, and Ft Rucker has already been renamed Ft. Novotel for a warrant officer who was awarded the MOH for a DUSTOFF/Medical evacuation mission. Ft Pickett, VA is now Ft. Barfoot.

Man ain’t that the truth. Everyone seems to think the American military is great at that stuff or something. We have 3 Humvees and an LMTV for my company(Blackhawk assault company). BEFORE we left for Europe there were annotated issues that were waiting to get fixed on all 4 vehicles. We left for Europe on Thanksgiving day 2021, returned late august 2022…. We STILL have not got those issues fixed. We have been waiting on an LMTV door so long that now the passenger door broke too!! Haha. Motorpool is filled with lazy people who don’t do their job to begin with so it’s not like if the parts came in they would actually fix it.

all the people that would protest this are too busy working every day and being responsible adults.

Everyone can still call it Ft. Hood and not get into trouble. Kind of like stadium names. Or the Washington Redskins. Names change. People don't like change.

I love and embrace change for the right reason. I think you are missing the point.
