Shock and Strut replacement San Antonio

Got a quote from the dealership to replace the shocks, struts and do an alignment on a 2017 Chevy Tahoe Premier. Tahoe has 110,000 miles on it and is riding really rough. They quoted $4500. Anyone know of any reputable/trustworthy places to get this done for a decent price?

No idea what they would charge but I've used Cambridge a couple of time with no complaints.

Ouch. If you are mechanically inclined, it's maybe 4 hours of work to do all 4.

I've used USA Motors on Wetmore a number of times for our vehicles over the years. Always been very happy. Good service, price, and quick turnaround. Behzad runs a great shop and is very straightforward about what needs/doesn't need to be done.

That's an insane quote if it's anything close to my 2017 chevy silverado You'll save thousands literally if you can do it with a friend. Two jacks and you're good to go. My experience was they quoted me for several hours more than what it even took me as a know-nothing mechanic and I was glad I did it myself. Your rear replacements should take you less than an hour. Fronts may take you 1.5hrs.

To be more accurate, after a quick search, I think you'll save yourself 3,400 after you pay for parts and alignment

you have the electro magnetic shocks, same as corvette, be glad they made it 110k. my wifes make it about 45k & $4500 a pop.

also you cant change them to norm shocks, I tried that.

opps correction they do have a mag delete kit now for $1500(parts), not sure if they deleted auto leveling also though.

                      Wow

I guess maybe sell the vehicle if they need the expensive stuff

Thanks for all the replies. Going to look into the mag delete or just trade it in. I had no idea that this was so expensive.

Me neither!!!! the LTZ/Premium packages are only ones with them. Auto leveling is why rears are so high.

I dont think mag shock actually improve ride any either.
