The pigs on my camera all week have been coming day and night. Hot and cold. A single male turkey has been running them off the feeder. You never know …

Maybe I'm minority here, but my experience has always been exact opposite of OP's BIL. Heat in general and warmest part of the day has always been the worst hog hunting.

My experience with both show pigs and wild swine is that about the only time they're moving in heat is to try to get to water/mud/shade since they don't sweat.

Pig hunting is like a box of chocolates lol never know what you’re going to get
their definitely there a couple of days then gone. I have noticed that when a big lone boar sets up in a spot the other pigs don’t hang to close.

So here's my experience with hogs in deep south Texas (for the past several years). April through September is when I see more hogs and more hogs moving in daylight...peak movement in May...by the time archery deer season starts I see less and less numbers and movement in daylight. By the time gun season starts I see them once every week or two weeks and typically at night. By the end of gun season and going into spring I don't see any at all. That's been my experience though. I'm envious of you folks that have them year round. I didn't shot a hog last year or this year. I freaking hate it cuz I'd rather shoot hogs over deer to be honest...that's just me

I've killed them in the snow so, yes. They move in the cold.

They will move in cold weather, they will move more when it's cool outside, than warm. They are the most active, when it rains. When it's very cold, lower 30s and colder, I would say, they don't move around as much, but they will be out moving.

You can’t ever tell. I snuck up on some with the pistola in the cold last week and gave them a little surprise though!

and i got to thinking have i ever seen good pig movement when it cold and can’t really remember seeing much.
There are wild boar in Siberia. It ain’t ever cold enough in Texas to be too cold for pigs to move.

I'm really surprised that OP was being serious...

This is what makes them so fun to hunt. They are hard to pattern and often times the bigger boars are a challenge to hunt with a bow and at night. Not to mention they are tough. I like hunting pigs more than deer though.

i should have been a little more specific in the first post.
what i’m asking is do you think pigs move when the temperature drops drastically like it did last weekend not just fairly normal winter temps?

                              Yes…they move when it’s cold.

My experience is that they are up and moving in cool weather. To say that they "move"? Not sure what you mean. They don't necessarily "move out" with weather. Just a whim, or hunting pressure or who knows.
