Tractor Help??

I've been tasked with selling my FIL's tractor due to his health issues. I have no idea what it is worth. Do we have a resident tractor expert? This is what I know.

2018 John Deere 5100E-4C tractor (enclosed cab with A/C and Heat)
2018 John Deere 520M front loader with bucket with grapple and front forks
2018 John Deere MX10 rotary cutter

He also has a 6' cutter, post hole digger and some other implements.

The tractor is in mint condition and has 30 hours on it.

Anyone that has some info or can point me in the right direction please shoot me a PM.

About 4 years ago, we bought one from a neighbor that was getting out of the cattle business. It was a lot older than the one you are looking at, but it was probably a 9.5/10, for condition. Plus, we knew the neighbor well. We gave $3000, for it.

That was a good deal, so don't expect to get the same price.

Look on the tractorhouse site and drill down to that model. I've been shopping for a 100+hp tractor and there seems to be quite a few 5100's listed. Used equipment is sky high right now. With 30 hrs it will bring more today than what he paid in 2018 brand new..

Might not be a lot of help, but I have the exact same tractor but a 2016… bought it in excellent shape with 500 hours in a package deal with an older JD HX 15 batwing and paid 54k. I thought that was a pretty decent deal about 2-1/2 years ago.

Yours is newer with fewer hours and a newer but smaller shredder. I suspect it’s worth 60-65 judging on inflation but could be wrong.

That rotary cutter is worth at least 8000 if used the same or less as the tractor. Total I bet you could get close to 80,000-90,000 for all of it. As long as it just hasn't been sitting in the weather the whole time and was used enough to keep everything moving.

Selling farm equipment can be quite the task, especially when you're not sure of its value. Your FIL's tractor sounds like a real gem with all those bells and whistles. Reminds me of when I had to help my uncle sell his old tractor. We ended up reaching out to a local farm equipment servicing shop for advice on pricing. They were super helpful in giving us a ballpark figure and connecting us with potential buyers.

Dang, I have that exact tractor, loader and mower ordered along with a no till seeder, supposed to be here in about a month, from what I was quoted I bet 75K plus is in the ball park.

60-70K. Probably real close to the sticker he paid out the door in 2018. Wouldnt suprise me if it brings about 10% over that.
