Who's been to prison?

Sounds like the son of one of my best friends. Super intelligent and was raised properly. The lure of easy money I suppose. All drug dealers end up in one of two places. Unfortunately, last month he received the other option. Shot dead doing a transaction in a nice suburban area of Richmond. 38 yrs young.

That's a sad story and ending.
I know another guy was great kid growing up, great athlete, well liked and well known. Got a degree in Civil Engineering and even started his own structural engineering firm.
Hooked up with some ole buddies from HS up to no good. Got caught with drugs with one of the buddies and served 10 yrs in TDCJ for it. Life hasn't been the same since for him

How do you find yourself in so many of these situations you are making reference to?

4 or 5 times on a warrant that didn't exist, but because they say there's a warrant they have to take me in.
Go to strategy so they can strip search you for the crack you must be hiding.
3 of those times I was rolled up on out of the blue for looking suspicious.
All 3 happened in the same pool hall parking lot.
Lew Sterrit all 3 times, only booked once, other 2 times they searched me and then kicked me out on the street soon as they finished minus a few min in the tank, no vehicle, no phone
Anyone familiar with Spring Valley mall in Dallas, knows the hood behind it, and it just so happens two of the biggest pool halls were right there on the edge.
I never had anything on me, they never saw me doing anything, other than walking to my car from the pool hall.
They got me again in Richardson same thing, different pool hall.
Got me on 20 between Dallas and El Paso coming back from a pool tournament.
77 in a 75 so I got pulled over.
Cop on passenger side sees only an ignition key, no key ring, so without a doubt I'm driving a drop vehicle, it's obviously loaded down with narcotics, and boy howdy we got us a bust here.
So what happened, they acuse me of being involved in credit card fraud out of the blu, which went in circles because I have no idea what in the world they are talking about, but they gotta take me in.
Absolutely nothing happens and they have nothing, so they gave me a warning for speeding, and wrote the warning out to the passengers childhood buddy who is currently in prison doing a 18 yr hitch.
We get to talking about and I hand him the warning, and he's like holy crap, that's my buddy, he's doing 18 for credit card fraud along with robbery .
Shady lake, Mena Ar, US Marshalls, and 4 kids, all under age 15, in the presence of adults the entire night, supposedly walked up to a campsite and tried to rape a 80 yr old lady...
You guessed it, all through the night, grilling a bunch of kids like were adults, acusing us, lying to us, etc..once again, nothing.
People in the campsite couldn't even identify us.
Run off the road on 35 in Ar by state troopers, yanked out of my S-10, slung against my truck, then slung in the ditch, and then kneeled on, completely clueless.
First time I ever ****** myself, 18 yrs old.
Guess what, wrong MF S-10, my apologies son, have a nice day.
Brazoria county same crap, but over supposedly cutting in the ferry line.
100% in the wrong, had been sitting for 45 min and creeping with everyone else, and he rolled up out of the blue.
Pretty sure someone called because we had been smoking a joint, and that was his reason to make contact, and when there was no weed, he looked like a idiot and his pride couldn't take it.
I went smooth off on the idiot, he had to flex, no charges pressed.
I do take some blame, because I'm never letting you feed me a line of bs without calling you out on it, on your lies, on your bullying, or any of the other crap they try, especially when no wrong has been done, especially when you're accusing me.
They'll kill me before they just walk over me.
I've never resisted, never ran, never unpolite initially, etc...
Unlucky some, profiled multiple times.
Call me, I'm tired of writing this novel and don't like thinking about it.

Where you're missing it is, "arrested and hauled in" is not the same as "locked up".
Completely different words and meanings.

This statement implies you have not been locked up by just considering a search or the tank as examples. However, you have spent several nights in jail implies you have been locked up multiple times. Several can imply 3 to 6 normally in general context.
Maybe I interpret the meaning differently

I didn't say locked up 12 times, but appreciate you putting words in my mouth, it's no surprise you're in LE....
"Can and will be used against you" on the clock, off the clock, in person, or online.
LE is the only profession where the incompetent idiots are allowed to kidnap you against your will, and then take you prisoner, and lock you in a cage, it's not apples to apples like you want to convey it.

Look at my spotless record, vs the amount of **** I've been in, with 0 charges pressed and you tell me

And because of the idiots and apparent lack of taking care of the false warrant on your end (I can say this because there are two clerks in my office that do this paperwork several times a day. For people all over the country. And we don't have a cell).

It bothers me not that you can lump me into a pool based on your interactions in life. I've dealt with 100s of people just like you. Shot at, spit on, had my family's life threatened and a host of other things. I had a guy say he was gonna kill me last month. I took his picture and a GSR swab and thanked him for his time. He went to jail, and I went to lunch.

All that being said if you still have that bogus warrant, come see me. I'll get it taken care of and carry you to a BBQ lunch.

And you can ride in the front seat without handcuffs

Spent a few nights in county jail over a fight in an adjacent town in high school. My grandpa was a sheriff and my aunt was my booking officer. Thought I’d be out after a few hours. Pretty sure I spent more time in there than other folks who did worse. Started to worry when I got my own jump suit, two different sized flip flops and my own cell. Almost died of dehydration, because I refused to drink out of a unit that was also a commode.

Hell I was trying to find out how he got off 12 plus times with being arrested but not "locked up".. I guess being inexperienced on the wrong side of an LEO, my version of locked up is different than some.

A few tickets and a MIP when I was a teen, thats it Was caught spotlighting by game warden and there was beer in the truck, wasnt drinking.

Not sure what I would do if unjustly arrested. May end up dead. Dont want to find out. Terrified of being locked up and my behavior reflects that.

Did do a few things to justify jail, well, actually prison time when I was younger but was either smart or lucky. Probably just lucky.
