    Who's been to prison?

    What was it like?
    How long?
    What for?
Was it hard to get through?
    Who dropped the soap?

Probably won't get any responses. I'm not so sure this place has many that've checked that box off.

Never got caught! Actually once but was no-billed by the grand jury.

        I did a 4.5 yr stint.

As a guard in college. No place I want to go back to on either side of the bars.

Lee some Bible studies at the Hollliday unit in Huntsville once a week for a few years. Let me tell you the difference between me and the guys in there….not much. A few different choices or family. But for the grace of God go I.

                My dad did. 15 months.
Said he’d never go back. Said its not good and he doesnt understand how people are career offenders.
Changed his life for the better. Found Christ and is a good human now.
You’d never know he went unless he told you.

                  I go pretty much daily.

I was a chaplain with TDCJ for a bit...Regional Director for Bill Glass Behind the Walls, so I have been in prisons all over the USA. Currently I am a Regional Coordinator for Bridges To Life and am ALWAYS looking for volunteers. Ex offenders make the absolute best volunteers to go back and minister behind the walls.

Was there in 78. Before the the David Ruiz case. No danger to the guards. No dis respect from the in mates. Was a good gig for a college kid. Free room & board. death row was a interesting experience.

Never been but I can tell you that it does reform some folks. Some of my best employees are felons.

Been inside most of the units in the state when I was working cold case murder investigations. Never quite got used to being inside knowing I might turn the corner and run into someone I put there.

Did a couple months at the Byrd unit in Huntsville. Loved the job, but the pay really sucked. Now it's all politics

I killed a man in Reno just to watch him die.
