Average price for a bear hunt?

All the Bear hunting going on right nowon the GS has gotten me so excited. I have never experienced a Professional hunt and am always telling my wife how Archery Hunting for Bear up North would be my dream hunt that I would have to save up for a couple years to experience. But about how much does a week like that average? And I just need a ballpark figure. Thanks

..in Alberta, Canada, its $2500-3500, some will let you take two bears with extra tag cost only. In the Peace River area, there are high numbers of colr phase so you can get two different bears....there is also a BIG advantage to be in a two bear area as the first one you shoot will likely suffer ground shrinkage! A really neat hunt but be ready for LONG hours on the stand...

Everywhere I've looked it seems that 2500 -3000 is about the goin rate.

I have a little secret bank account going at $100/month. The rates in New Brunswick are alot cheaper $1300-$1500. However, Alberta and more central Canada are $2500-$4000. Bears are a little smaller in the east vs the central or western Provinces, but does it matter? You might be able to do 2 hunts for the price of one. Remember, hunting does not necessarily need to represent size.

That was my reasoning. especailly since I am having to cover 2 people. I just want a bear for my first trip, doesnt have to be big.

I hunted Manitoba last year and our group of 6 cost was $2,800.00 each plus air fare. Unfortunately we had an issue with our outfitter (that's another story) and none of us killed a bear, so I really would not recommend our outfitter. Did have a nice time though and I was the only one to see Timber Wolves out of our group. Only saw 1 bear all week.

At the place I am going moose hunting this fall in Ontario, I think they charge $1500 for a fall bear hunt.

I am sure it is like anything else. You probably get more if you pay more, but that is not always the case.

The hunt I am going on this year is $1650, includes a modern cabin, and a fishing boat with gas.
You supply the food and do your own cooking, and pay for your license.

This place is a small outfit that only takes 4 people a week. This is in Ontario in the fall. I prefer fall bears for eating. The weather is more stable and the bugs are minimal in the fall.

We are flying to International Falls, renting a car and driving another 3 hours from the border.
