If you're wearing them, I'm here to tell you they look ridiculous in hunting camp. Want to follow the "in crowd" out of a catalog, then please only hunt with a 6.5 CM that way I can spot you from afar and know to stay away.

Seriously I’ve only worn boot cut pants since I became an adult until recently picking up some Wrangler tapered type “action pants” at Walmart. They are that golf pant type material they don’t fit around my boots but I usually tuck them in when wearing boots. They are super comfortable especially in summer and I can wear them with tennis shoes too. My new favorite pants for just wearing around:

I started wearing the same Wrangler pants you are talking about. They are definitely not what I would call "skinny" pants, but they are tapered, not baggy, and flex with me when moving/climbing, and they seem to breathe and wick moisture away from my skin. There have been a few instances when they have gotten damp/wet, whether from heavy dew, walking through shallow creeks, or getting caught in a rain shower. Pants dry much faster than typical cotton jeans or camo pants, and don't sag the way damp cotton pants do when wet. I am in my 50s and overweight, but I am not in any fashion shows, so I want to be comfortable and will take advantage of modern fabrics to achieve that goal. I still wear my traditional camo type pants at times, especially when I need to avoid being see by game, or need to wear bulkier insulated underwear. For moderate to hot temps, the newer tech fabrics are great in my opinion.

I am perplexed as to what pants OP is referring to? I don't have any skinny hunting pants and neither do my hunting buddies. Give a link or a pic or something. I have never seen them.

What is with these new male skinny hunting pants ala almost female looking leggings ?? You know the "new, must have hunting clothing" lines that have showed up. Almost an invisible back pocket and skin clinging material.
I guide a few deer/turkey hunts every year and guys look ridiculous in them IMO The other day I was actually on a guided hunt as the hunter and had to walk behind a guide wearing a pair I'm sure when I'm guiding clients they can appreciate the rear view of my old school Carhartt pants.

I was CLEAR in original post that I wear Carhartt, and manly in them !!
