Salado tx the good the bad

May want to look at Belton or Temple. Little over an hour to Austin, 2 hours to Dallas area. Good schools, GREAT hospital complex!

There’s no cheap place in Central Texas anymore. If you want to be there, you just have to bite the bullet.

As said above Salado is expensive because people want to live there. I know about 4 people that live there raising families and all say it was a great decision

I live outside of Salado and my daughter is graduating from Salado this year and I have a 6th grade boy in the school. The school system is a little on the liberal side at times but is still so much better than a number of the schools up and down i35 in central texas. The prices are not cheap but then no where really is and everything on 35 is growing like crazy.
