Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky

Ive been on a fiction reading binge as of late. My list of favorite novels has been solidified for probably 15 years until reading this one over Spring Break. Easily in the top 5 best novels I have ever read. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Top 5 huh, I'm going to have to check it out.
Like you it's been awhile since I read anything that stood out.

I'm not a big reader, and I read it decades ago. It is an excellent book

Its an 1860s Russian novel. It is regarded as one of the top pieces of literature ever written. I became an English teacher through an alternative certificate 3 years ago and it was given to me by my friend that teaches next door to me. She is from London and teaches Dual College Credit English and teaches that novel. Her degree is in Lit with an emphasis on European Literature. Her Masters Thesis was on Nietzche. Im not a traditional teacher, my specialty is the bad news bears, but I get to read awesome books all the time for free and hang out with some awesome kids all day.

Excellent novel, there is a reason it’s considered a classic.

Im more a fan of contemporary American authors but when a book has been at the top for so long it’s obvious there is a reason why
