Auto Diminished Value Claim Suggestions

Wife had a little fender bender a month ago in her 6 month old car. She was stopped and the guy behind her didn't stop fast enough-$9400 of damage.

With the access we all have to auto history reports, the car is worth less than before.

Any body out there used any particular service (online) to establish how much the insurance company owes us for this?

Several come up when I do a search and there doesn't seem to be much way to know which is the best or if it even matters.

What I did was get estimates on what the car would be worth before the wreck and then a estimate on how much it’s worth fixed but with a wreck on the report. The difference is the diminished value. I got three estimates and took the average. The insurance company will fight you on this but stand firm and do not sign off as done or complete on the claim until you get a settlement that you are satisfied with.
