    Tactacam Reveal X 2.0

Bought a Reveal X 2.0 to try out on our place in Mexico. If it works well I may buy more. Got a question for the guys who run them.

Their website says: • Reveal X Gen 2.0 operates on AT&T or Verizon nationwide LTE/4G networks (SIM card change required)

What do they mean by SIM card change required? I didn’t see an option to select one network or another. My understanding is the camera will run off either ATT or Verizon, whichever has better signal in that area.

It should indicate on the box which it is currently. You will have to get the SIM card for the other carrier if you would like to use that instead.

It comes with two different SIM cards….AT&T and Verizon.
You put in the SIM card of your choice then activate the camera.

Thanks. I couldn’t find that info on their website.

Yep comes with both AT&T and Verizon sim cards. You pop in the one you want to use for that area and set your camera up. Also to note it doesn't matter what company your phone operates with. Just download the app and use your phone to set up the camera.

Call their customer service, very good to work with. Like others said, install the correct sim card and you shouldn't have any issues.

I assumed two cards when I purchased two , but only received one. Called them to be told they are universal now, you just select which carrier you desire/ use when setting up.

Yes, that is a very cool option! I hunt in Mexico and service between the two providers is wildly different depending on where you are standing on the ranch (a few hundred yards can make a difference). I have one that works well on ATT. I tried a second on ATT and could not get good service. So, I switch to Verizon and got a full set of bars (which I expected based on my cell phone service at that location).

I don’t know if the 2.0 is still available. Their new model automatically finds the best car carrier and use’s that.
