    Best mattress for tent camping

We plan on going on a 2 Week Rd. trip this summer to California and will be doing a lot of tent camping. Wanted to get opinions on the best mattress. I’m not looking forward to being without my sleep number bed for two weeks. But I am looking forward to spending some great quality time with my wife and son.

Are you looking for 1 mattress for all or each having their separate one?

We just returned from a 4 day camping trip and I was able to test out my new Big Agnes Air Core Insulated pad. I slept very well on it and no complaints.

I have back country hunted for 5 years now, and have yet to find one I like. The blow up ones are okay, and it's nice because they insulate you from the ground, but they like to pop. Solid foam ones are bulky to carry and not as comfortable as the air ones.

Looking forward to everyone else ideas because I am searching too!

You get what you pay for when it comes to these.

          I love my Nemo Tensor

The big Agnes q-core slx (I think) is getting great reviews.

Thermerest is also a great brand with quality stuff

If you toss and turn get a wide version, trust me it makes a difference.

I use a Camp Time Roll O Cot and I sleep as good as at the house. They are lightweight and easy to deploy. When I backpack I use my Thermarest NeoAir elite
