Just something to consider....
I started going to Africa 20 years ago and looked up 10 or 12 years ago and realized I had 80 shoulder mounts.
I still loved Africa so I started going over and hunting without bringing anything back but the pictures and more importantly the memories.
Nothing says you have to bring anything home to mount

For this hunt, $1000 per person for 3 animals each, pickup and delivery to the airport, $500 (not positive if this is pickup and delivery) split 4 ways, Taxi work in RSA, less than $1000 for 3 animals per person, Shipping is a BIG question, clearance with Coppersmiths, my 4 was $350 and clearance at a local USDA taxi was $250. Taxi fees for your 3 animals, your choice on how much and how you have everything done.
From my understanding, shipping is done via volume, not weight from RSA. If you do not want to have anything mounted and just do Euros, then you will not have to include any capes or backskins in the shipment, only the skulls and horns. They come from the taxi in RSA as Euros so you eliminate taxi work in the states and save on the volume of your animal crate in shipping!
I will say this and it is from my taxi in San Angelo, you should be able to pick up your animals at Coppersmiths in Houston UNLESS you get the wrong agent with their panties in a wad or if you have a Warthog or other primates that will need clearance with a USDA certified taxi. He said half of his customers have picked up their animal crates in Houston and the other half the agent will want them sent to a USDA taxi.

If you don't export, It's y understanding you then have to pay the 14% VAT (tax) on the trophy fees. Just know it might be part of the deal to leaving stuff behind also.
Not saying that that tax is not on the books but I have done a dozen cull hunts with 3 different outfits and have never paid any tax
