I work in IT and limit any public photos around hunting or firearms with my face due to facial recognition technology. It’s a very competitive and liberal industry unfortunately and content like this could severely hurt future career opportunity.

If up your going to leave the velvet on his horns be careful with him. I personally would scrap it off

Freeze drying the velvet and handled the velvet like a baby till I got to the taxidermist. Only took three hours from the trigger squeeze to get to the taxi. The guide had a freeze dried 10 year old velvet mount in his garage with no climate control and it looked great.

Lemme get this straight...your first Axis is a trophy grade critter? Jeez...i've shot over a dozen free range Axis bucks and have never come close to the 30" mark.

You’ll be fine. I have a couple of mounts in velvet and they’re just fine. They look exactly like they did when I brought them in.
