Depends on what you're in the mood for but there some pretty good restaurants here. Wall Street, Cork and Pig, and The Bar are great options.

Opal's Table (higher end place but great food)
    Venezia's Italian Restaurant
La Mision (Close to Rockhounds Stadium)
    Gerardos Casita
    Cancun Grill

Probably too late for this trip, but next time you visit.... we have eaten at Cork & Pig, Opal's Table and Cowboy Prime while at J-Bone's house. ALL 3 are excellent. A really great lunch spot we ate at was Juji's Kitchen.

          I live here -
My favorite dinner place is Cork and Pig. If you are going for Mexican lunch - I really like el Banquete - south of downtown off Big Spring.

Garlic Press for dinner and Cafe at the Gardens for lunch. Get the red pepper soup at the gardens.

Wall Street is good with the exception of how their steaks were cooked several years ago (haven't been lately). Very little seasoning and the waiter told me they season the clarified butter they cook the steak in - goofiest thing I've ever heard and it tasted like the waiter was right.

I’ve got to agree with the exception of Tkilaz and KDs. Tkilaz isn’t bad at all, but not what I’d recommend to people coming to town looking for a good meal. And if you recommended KDs to me I’d think you didn’t like me after trying it Not sure how I forgot abo Jr Taco Divino when I eat there dang near every week, and Rio Grande is just dang good food.

KDs is good, brisket & ribs is my go to. Lot of people like to down talk it but that large crowd at lunch everyday says otherwise.

JuJis is great. We are at wall Street Friday night and it was the best I've had in a couple of years there. Buffalo Jos wing place is good as well as The Bar.
I can say though I will never eat at the cork and pig in Midland again. The acoustics in there suck so bad you cant have a conversation with the person at your table and my ribs were frozen when brought out. I've been told the one in Odessa is a much better place to eat and have a conversation.
