    Places to eat

Anybody have any ideas on good places to eat? Humble, Kingwood, or north or west of there on a Thursday night ?
    Thanks !

I try to stray away from the chain restaurants.

City Cafe in Humble is pretty good IMHO.

I’ll also add Hoffbrau as well. Used to be a good hole in the wall burger place in Porter, right by the tracks as well, for the life of me I can’t remember the name.

For elegant French dining Chez Nous in Humble, also Union Kitchen. If you want great Italian dining, Italiano’s in Humble is our favorite.
If you want to take a drive a bit north, Splendora Cafe’ at 59 at Hwy 242.
Fantastic Chinese is JJ China Diner in the Kroger shopping center at North Park at 59.
My favorite seafood place there is Pappas on the north bound 59 feeder just north of 1960
That ought to get you started… there are lots of good places to eat in that corridor

One other I could not leave off the list,
El Tiempo Cantina on Northpark in Kingwood. This one is from the Ninfa’s tradition.

Yup, a franchise chain if I remember correctly!! No matter tho, dang good real homemade burgers n fries!!

Edit: Tried to confirm but so far, I’m drawing a blank. Lots of similar names but not exact, so maybe I’m all wet about that. I remember eating at one across town and asking about it and they told me they were the same as the one in Porter… but I have slept since then. If it comes to me, I’ll post up.

Charlie nailed most of our go-to places, but I'd add Chimichurri's in the back of Kingwood.

I live in Porter and we split our time eating in the Woodlands and Humble areas. But the truth is, some of the best restaurants in North America are just South of you. It doesn't matter if you want steaks, seafood, Vietnamese, Italian, Ethiopian, Greek, Chinese, Continental, junk or gourmet, there is a restaurant in Houston with 5 stars that is worth the 20min drive from Humble.

Pete's is definitely NOT a chain. I only know of the one location, but if there is in fact another one across town, two links make a dang short chain.

I usually get full before they set my food on the table at Italiano’s in Humble. Something about their bread and garlic butter

                        Fact!
There’s not another place like it anywhere on the planet.

Italianos, either Humble or the north park location are great.

                          El Tiempo is really good.

                          Pete’s is pretty dang good

                          Sharks in Kingwood is good.

                          Splendora cafe is absolutely trash.
