    One Second After….a book discussion

I read this book a long way back (feels like a decade) and I remember it impacting me significantly. I recently found out that it was the first in a series of of books. I read it again before diving into the rest of the series. DANG. Makes me want to get my Go bag updated and start prepping😬
    One second after
    One year after
    The final day
And coming later this fall….5 years after.

If you haven’t read them, I highly recommend all 3 books.

Also, if you have any similar books that you recommend….please post them up.
I’ve enjoyed audio books lately. It’s been a nice break from local radio and podcasts.

There are millions of books and book series on Amazon about post-apocalyptic survival. I probably read a couple thousand of them. One second after is pretty good but there are some a lot better. Check out the going home series by a.american

You will like the read Patriots...same premise but uses a global financial crisis for the shtf.

It's the human behavior element & how the masses / individuals react that I find fascinating. just look at what covid & of all things toilet paper did to folks.

I second the Going Home Series by A. American. The series also has one of the better narrators on Audible in my opinion. It's hard for me to find one that doesn't annoy me or put me straight to sleep.

About to finish The Final Day. I think the biggest realization is that unless you have a like minded group you’re just going to be a great supply to a not so helpful group of people. Don’t mistake my comment for saying no need to be prepared for things but if it gets that bad you better have some support.

Luke just got fitted for his "hook" so I have a bit more to go.

You can listen to the entire series on Youtube like an audible book for free

Sorry that was the America Falls series...along the same line, it has a Chinese virus versus an emp.

personally in a doomsday scenario, I am not concerned about surviving...I just want to be apart of the purge that this world needs.

Im talking MadMax on the pedos that have harmed so many children.

Black Autumn is really good so far. You can tell the guys who wrote it have a wealth real world knowledge and backgrounds.

I think I heard it mentioned once on a Jack Carr podcast.

                Great book series.

Don't laugh but in my emp book stage I read quite a few series, including all above mentioned. I actually really liked Terri Blackstocks take in her 4 part series most. Mainly because her Christian view and how that factors into things. She may not have done the depth of research the other authors did, prolly not a prepper and it may be really off in how it would go down but I'd offer this thought:

If a emp could cause that much chaos like portrayed in black autumn or 1 second, I think what you'd be dealing with is the post rapture earth. I won't be here for that, thank you very much

Anyways, love this genre always a series to dive into next in this topic.
