Our building is right under one of the flight paths for Love Field. It'll scare the bageezus out of you watching some of the planes coming in.

Whoa!!!I can't imagine! I'll bet that filled your undies! What row were y'all on? Did you actually see the stewardess (God rest her soul) being sucked out? Did it only take 13 minutes after the incident to land on Maui? Tell us what all happened.

everything was normal, all of a sudden a very loud pop we could see daylight very cold air was rushing in. what save us we all still had on our seat belts. everything not strap down was being suck out of the plane. no i did see the stewardess go out . there was 3 of them. the other 2 were hurt but was hanging on the floor seats. we were trying to get our oxygen mask on , not knowing the oxygen unit was rip out with the roof. the pilots were bring us down quick to get us some air. i was thinking we would be going in the water. but soon saw land and they got us in. we found out later that they did not know if the front landing gear was down and lock in?and did not want to do a fly over and have to turn back around. not knowing if the plane would stay together? pilots made the call and got us on the ground. bet i wet the bed tonight thinking about this again....p.s. we were behind the right wing. a true miracle we made it someone was watching over us that day.

Happened twice to me on the same flight, southwest flight into Lubbock in a crazy thunder storm.

Last year flying into key west. We had a hard touchdown and took off right away. Apparently they have a short runway and it has to be hit just right.

Happened to me twice on the same flight into midland. For some reason on the third attempt, the pilot said we only have enouyfuel for one more landing attempt. We landed, pretty crazy! I believe hogh cross wind was the reason.

Dallas to Houston flight in storm conditions. 2 failed attempts before they changed runways and put us down. They got realllllllly low first two attempts before pulling off right at the last minute dude to extreme winds.

                      It was rather unnerving.

My youngest son is a commercial pilot, and I was telling him about this thread. He said that it doesn't bother him at all to go around again. He's not fond of hard landings.
