Why did some WMA's move to draw only hog?

I`ve never hunted public land. Been lucky enough to have a lease about 50% of the time the past 40 years. I can only imagine what it would be like on public land with hamburger meat at 5 bucks per lb. though. I`m not mad enough at any wildlife to fight the crowd on public lands without some kinds of restrictions.

Honestly I think you would be surprised. I can't speak for all of texas public but I have hunted a fair bit of it and have only ever felt it was a bit crowded during deer season. Even then, i was still getting away from people and consistently seeing deer. Spring time pig hunting we typically had thousands of acres all to ourselves.
