I’m a side sleep and and get shoulder and hip pain. My arms/hands fall asleep too. Bought a purple mattress 5 years ago. We were never crazy about it and within the first year we had sagging spots and had a mattress topper on it. We don’t like it and my wife is on my ***** to get a something new but I’m dragging my feet because of the cost. I’m sure they’ve changed, but we wouldn’t but another one. Interested to see what everyone else recommends.

PT may fix it depending on what the problem is. But if you do need surgery that’s the only way you’ll get better.

Big fan of Simmons BeautyRest Black Pillowtop.

Also a side sleeper. If find pillows are just as big, if not bigger deal.

I was going to recommend the exact same mattress. I got mine a bit over a year ago and it has helped me immensely with back pain. A bit over your budget, but a great mattress.

Guess I'll chime in. Not even sure they are still made, but years ago I had shoulder problems and I purchased a water bed and it worked great. Yes, I'm a side sleeper.

Changed mattresses at least 4 times and none were better than rhe other for my side sleeping and shoulder pain.

Not cheap especially for pillow but worked for me.

Nice. I've been trying to change my sleep position since my arm falls asleep. This may do the trick!

My wife and I had the same issue, and bad back pain. Tried 3 mattresses in the same number of months..

Finally bought a sleep number, and found out what feels comfortable to us when we first lay down is way different that what we sleep well with… 30-35 is comfy when we first lay down, but we feel so well rested when we sleep at 55-60

Are these in the Op’s $2k budget?

We’ve had an Amerisleep since June of 2018. We both like it, but I really like it. I have shoulder pain also and left hip pain. I generally sleep on my right side, but I’ve found if I lie on my back for a couple minutes with my arms above my head, it helps with the shoulder. Very little helps the hip so I sleep on my right side.

I chased online mattresses but kept being let down after buying several. I’m a side sleeper and a firm hybrid foam/coil was best for me. Soft top layer but firm supporting foam/coil. We did split adjustable king since my wife didn’t need to match my firm style.
                              Same for me.

OP, do you know what's causing your shoulder pain?

We paid $2400 delivered, there were more and less expensive options that still had the adjustment
