5:00 am my phone goes off. It’s Bryan police department. My daughter is at A&M my son at Baylor. My heart was racing!! Seems someone tried to break into my daughters truck parked outside her house in College Station. Cop on patrol saw the door wide open and called me as truck is titled to me. My daughter was perfectly fine and asleep in her house. Praise God!!! Relieved doesn’t describe it. I’ll take a break in to a vehicle any day over the alternative that my mind raced to. She had noting in the truck but some damage to the door. Glad to know the boys in blue were at least around. Made me feel better.

Lots of vehicle break ins in College Station. They finally caught a ring of thieves few months ago. Glad she wasn’t in the middle of it.Comment

My son lives in the Barracks and back in December a crew just went down the block early one morning and broke into 20 or so vehicles and stole a motorcycle also.Comment

Good thing.
The local PD was beating on my door about 3 am one morning for the same scenario. Back door wide open on my Tundra. I had left it open when unloading stuff and forgot to go out and close it. Nothing missing and no damage...just a senior moment.Comment
