    need yalls thoughts

I have a 1998 K2500 and need to replace the exhaust. I am thinking dual in and out flowmaster 40 series or magnaflow. What is yalls thoughts. Which one sounds best. I will be doing a Cat delete on it as well.

It will sounds great. Could go a true dual exhaust with flowmasters as well that will sound awesome.

IMO the magaflow sounds better than a flow master. Had magna on a 92 and flows on a 96. The flowmaster had more pop and the magna was more mellow

The quieter the better. Go stock.

The truck will eventually have either a built 383 or 350 with headers but for now it needs a new exhaust. I have seen a lot of knock off flowmasters for cheaper but I cant decide which one. Anyone have any sound clips. I haven't had a true dual truck in a while.

Run it through dual in/out muffler or 2 singles with crossover pipe. Medium case magnaflow di/do what I would do personally

If you're eventually putting aftermarket headers on, I would go ahead and do the exhaust up right and have an H pipe installed or the dual in/out muffler like stated in the post above.

Glass packs turned around backwards, or straight pipe.

And the Magnaflow won’t give you a headache from the interior drone.

Flowmasters and such are just goofy and loud.

You want a nice quiet turbo muffler and a cam that hits a good lick.

Loud with a stock engine sucks.

One 3" in and out sounds way better on those trucks. Gives it a deeper sound and not that high school waaaa... waaaa... waaaa sound.

We would do a dual in 3" out cat and beat the honeycomb out. Then go from cat to 3 in/out muffler. Then they would take it over the rear axle and kind of 45 it out to the fender. Like the newer Chev have.

All that dual, chrome tip stuff is out unless you have a low rider.

The quietest muffler Flowmaster makes also. The drone of a 40 series is brutal.

I think I am going to do a dual in and out magnaflow with no cats. I am not going to use tips just going to do a lowrider dump over the axel and down the bed side.

I dont know if they go that far back but Ive put MBRP bolt on kits on the last two full size trucks we've had. One on a 6.2 chevy and one on current 7.3 ford gasser. Easy to install in driveway and always get compliments on sound

mellow sound like magnaflow and a little cheaper. Theyre pretty good about having sound files online
