He got buck fever and must not have hit where he was aiming. We tracked 100yds, walked up on the sow, shot with pistol, she ran, we backed out.

I told him to shoot dead center of shoulder. He thought it was broadside when it was actually quartering away. So bullet went in shoulder and out front left chest.

We backed out last night . The crew here are top notch. They called to check on us as we were last ones out. He waited at the house and we talked for 20min or so offering to go back in and look. We declined and deffered till today. Again he mentioned if we needed help looking or packing out to call. I love it!

We went to The Crab Trap Grill just past Sargeant for dinner. Only non chain diner open at 9pm. It was, ....um...different. I wouldn't go back. Food was ok, just a weird place.

After dinner we headed to Walmart in Lake Jackson where we picked up another bag of Big&J. Parked in the Kohls lot and slept for the night.

Back up at 5am and off to Nannie. Moved our washer and off on our hike at 545.

We'll hunt till 10 or so then retrace our tracking steps. He's going to find it.

Good luck this AM on the hunt and the track. It sucks losing any animal but there will always be another pig for redemption.

Picked up the blood trail where we left off and found her 20yds further in. Good tracking and decision making hunt.
Not too shabby. Got momma and 8 potentials. She was peggo.
