I had never even heard of Antelope Island deer hunting or sheep. I thought sheep tag auctions would always bring the highest dollar amount not a deer.

It certainly conflicts with the north american model of wildlife management. More like the kings animals.

But hey, if I had the cash, I would do it. At least the cash paid goes towards conservation.

most these guy have obviously already made in finically in business world. They get to donate money to conservation and get to hunt special animals. More power to them. These tags do alot of special habitat work etc.

id rather spend 50k on a deer tag then Disney

I’d say it goes hand and hand. Those value numbers contribute to a very strong sustainability model, especially in reference to poaching etc
