    Time for preemergent

Time to put out preemergent out for Grass burrs. Freeze should have killed the plants, not we gotta deal with seeds. I'll be spraying my yard in Corpus this weekend.

Barricade liquid I treated last February with about twice the recommended rate and it wiped out 95% of them. I used sprayer for a garden hose.

Hate to say it Jeff but if you're asking if the rut has started, well my friend, it's already over. At this point you'd be lucky to catch 2024's 3rd rut.

Is now the time to put anything out for just weeds in general?

For The DFW area, all recommendations I’ve seen are the first 2 weeks of March. This will be the first year of me declaring war on stickers!

Gotta get them before they sprout.

No stickers in our yard, but some weeds. What is safe to use for St. Augustine?

I like to go first week of February and then hit it again 4-6 weeks later in March.
