Here in Oak Hill the ice is really thick. Destroying our Oak trees. The wind just picked up & limbs are crashing, going to take years to recover from this one.
These cedars are out toward me an extra 20’ because they are uprooted. Was always thinking about clearing them out, guess that thought process is over. [emoji38]
Sorry Brother. Those photos look just like our house and neighborhood in north Georgetown. We lost irreplaceable trees, but we are safe and no home or car damage.
Probably to late now, but in past ice storms I put 2x4’s and 2x6’s under the limbs that were drooping to support them. It worked well. I never had a broke limb in the yard.
Our mature oaks and pines took a beating, worse now than with everything we had during Uri. Yesterday was bad but after the rain and sleet last night today looks like a war zone.

That's exactly how I described my place here in Wimberley....war zone. I lost limbs from every single oak on my property. It's really bad.
I need to get out to my place in Leon County ASAP. Looks bad on the game cameras and house Arlos. Gonna take a few days of chainsawing to clear roads I bet.
