I agree, just have seen those names several places. Our farm system hasnt been great in a little while. The Astros have been able to develop the talent they have far better than anyone else for years. Brent Strom was a huge part of Framber and Javier being star quality pitchers. Obviously, hes gone but he was a huge part of it. We have a hell of a shortstop at Sugarland and maybe a better one in Bryce Matthews coming up. We have the Texas league pitcher of the year down there as well. Most farm system talk is garbage.

I've seen some speculation that Ron Washington might be a candidate for the Houston job. What are astros fans' opinion of this? I loved him with Texas, but that was many years, and many crack rocks ago. He seems to have gotten it together and resurrected his career with Atlanta.
