Congrats on the BB Bisch! We saw a couple does out there one year. Don't know where they went.

Yeah it’s very bad ! I was working on the mertz 09 and we saw only 3 deer in a month of driving around it and they were in terrible condition, who ever leased it has hard hunting next year coming up

I'm in neighboring Crocket county on a Mertz pasture and was out last weekend filling feeders. Heard some gobblers not far off from camp but never could get them to commit and come in. Hoping for more rain as well.

Any of you Sonora folks know anything about the Aldwell ranch? My grandpa hunted there for about 20 years and got off the place in the early 90’s. My guess is it sold and got broke up into smaller ranches by now but possibly not. He said it was 50,000 acres in total and they had about a 1,500 section. I know there is a yellow school bus they would stay in and there is natural gas lines all throughout the property. Would like to try and go hunt out there one day. Any info on the land is much appreciated!

Its been a couple years since we were pushed off the lease down bond road. The owner decided it was time to cut all leases, not just ours of 40 years, but also the others on different sections. I'm curious as to whether anyone has been out there or knows whether they're doing paid hunts or not. It's the pfluger ranch. If anyone know's I'm just curious.
