I started on the TPWD website for my 100 acres, but I ended up not following through. They have a map to estimate how many deer you can take per year. For my 100 acres, it was one doe per year. We typically take between 1 and 3 deer per year, and we have taken some dandy bucks. Give it a try, but I bet that you won't be happy for your small property.

I am MLD on 45 acres I'm not big enough for buck permits but I normally get 3 doe permits. It's not hard to get or keep the MLD, just have to do the deer counts record the kills and pay the fees. pretty simple to get does in a no doe county except for the few days they allow at thanksgiving. I don't hunt horns anyway

What he said^^^^^^ pretty much mirrored my experience. I have 122ac, and did not go with MLD.

I think it depends on what your trying to do. My biologist said that we might be getting 1 tag per 40 ac because of what we are doing and the landscape. The 1 tag per 100 is just a generic starting point but, with time and logs of deer count along with other information needed they can give more tags. BUT, I'm with the masses, its just easier to pluck your own count.

OP, should have everything you need at the following link.
The Managed Lands Deer Program (MLDP) is intended to foster and support sound management and stewardship of native wildlife and wildlife habitats on private lands in Texas.
The map I referenced is only a blanket coverage. I would have a discussion with the biologist before making a determination.

When you reach out to your biologist, have them come out and do a site visit. That will be your biggest deciding factor if you want to get involved in the MLD program.

As others have said - you most likely will notbe happy w/ MLD Conservation Option recommendations on tracts of that size. Especially if they are non contiguous tracts. At most - you would get 1 buck tag a year for each place.
If you went w/ the harvest option - you probably wouldn't be any better off. Just use the harvest option tag estimator, and you will get a better idea.
