I was approached last year by a producer of TPWD TV. He liked a sign I made and wanted to know if I could come up with something for him to use as the title page for a piece he was doing.
It was to be about famous trees found across Texas, focusing at first on State Parks because this year is the 100 yr anniversary of Texas State Parks.
After much thought I decided to make a large rustic sign with the letters made from peeled tree branches. We agreed on the wording and this was the result.
Unfortunately the sign I worked so hard on didn't make the final edit but it is used on the youtube thumbnail.
He said he was planning on doing more installments of famous trees and might use the sign as the title of them.
Either way I think he did an awesome job on the piece. Next time we are at the coast I think we will swing by to see Big Tree.
