My wife is more a bourbon fan than I am, but I do like a snort now and then. We like it with unsweet tea as well. She refers to it a sweet tea. Jack only for us. Single barrel barrel proof when I can find it, but its hard to find.

Same here on any Canadian whiskeys.

Small splash of H2O or an ice cube.

Being a beer drinker all my life, I'm not good at "sippin whiskey". So I put some ice and a splash of water in mine in a 20oz coffee cup. I accidentaly discovered one day that a splash of Texas Pecan coffee left over in the cup made the bourbon REEEEEAAAALY smooth. I'll do sweet tea also, when it's hot out.

When I do set down with a good bourbon, it's 2 cubes.

Some bourbons I like with a little ice, others I like with a couple of splashes of water to release more flavors. Aside from that, I don't add anything else.

Recommend trying each to see if you prefer one over the other.

              Enjoy!

Was waiting to see a Sweet Tea recommendation. For a good mixer with what I call a riding around the ranch drink. Love me some Red Diamond with my Weller or Makers. Turned a couple people on it. And they now do it as well.

If I’m drinking my good stuff. Large round Ice Cube. Bourbon. Let it sit for a few min. And enjoy.

I’m a neat or small sliver of ice fan, don’t like to proof my bourbon down,I only buy 90+ proof or better.

Tin Cup isn't he best for sipping whiskey, although I have a bottle.

I highly suggest try some others, and buy smaller amount till you figure out what you like.

                        I recommend starting with:

                        Jameson
                        Texas Ranger
                        Pendelton Midnight

A little water and ice is the correct answer. Need a good bourbon as well.

                            Red Diamond is the bomb.

I like diet ginger ale. Not too sweet like 7-up.
