I get the feeling not many of the people on here hunt around Coleman. Last time I asked a question about this area, nobody responded to it either. Or they were just ignoring me.
I just got this from the Coleman newspaper website.
It depends on who you talk to as to how much rain they received over the weekend. Most of the heavy rain fell along and south of U.S. Highway 67. Between Glen Cove to Valera down to Mozelle is the band of heaviest rain where Doppler radar estimates of 2 to 4 inches are common. Some 1 to 2 inch rains fell in the far southern part of the county between Rockwood and Trickham. The lightest rain amounts were from the City of Coleman northward toward Lake Coleman, not much to measure.
For those of you around Big O's, I video'd a huge mid 160-class (maybe more!) typical on a low fence lease south of there on 503 about 5 years ago. That deer haunts my dreams...there are some big boys in that area.
I am 3 miles south of Voss. Saw a 160 class four or five years ago twice but never got a shot. Haven't seen him since. Have got some pictures of 130 class since but last season was not very good.
Thanks all. There are some huge deer out there we have a couple young bucks that are huge already. Plus it helps when there is a high fenced ranch withen a couple miles
