As others have said, they’re heavy. We do a considerable amount of NV/thermal hunting and often have to cover a lot of ground. Our group all use trigger sticks. A couple people have put the clamping heads on the trigger sticks, but I just use the standard U mount.

I use mine for night hunting coyotes. It's perfect for a one person set up. I set up the height before I get out to spots and lay it in the back of pickup. Keeping hand free for calls and big lights makes it really easy to get on coyotes and shoot.

Wouldn't pack it up a mountain but for most of us isn't too heavy to carry around.

I use one for predator hunting and it works well, I am in the process of converting the deathgrip to a ball head mount for ACRA Rail. over it is worth the money

I have the BOG fieldpod max - great for kids, or sighting in a gun.

If I was buying something to carry around - I would probably get the triggersticks, or similiar bipod

I have bogpods in blinds for kids and a few adults. The heavier the tripod the more stable.

the bog pogs cost less then my sirui arca swiss heads

Get the carbon version, it is one pound lighter but a lot stiffer rest. worth the extra coin.
