    Parachutes with motors

Last day of the juvenile season last evening my son has 30 deer around him waiting on a 8 point that is probably 4 that has a very bad limp. We have passed him all season but the limp seems to be getting worse. We have 2 of these parachutists with motors and go cart frames fly over high they spot the deer and take a 180 coming thru about 20 feet off the ground running all the deer off and they look to be like 10 ft off the water of our pond. 150 ducks get spooked!
What a terrible way to end a youth’s last day of season!

If your hunt was ruined it seems a warning shot would be warranted and hard to prove.

They were more than likely ruskies. You should have ground checked them.

Maybe get the act on video and turn it in to GW and let them pursue with that as evidence?

My biggest problem is trying to determine how far to lead them….

Call the GW and report it. They'll keep doing it until someone shuts them down. Can't be too hard to find them with a good description. GW will let them know it won't be tolerated.

Sure…… If a game warden can track a paramotor that has already landed… with about a 100 mile range. These are not drones with a very limited range.

Considering that a paramotor (as long as not a two seat like a trainer) doesn’t require a pilot’s license or registration (N number) like other aircraft, it would be a very difficult task.

I had a discussion with them! I knew where they took off from.
And they apologized to the boys, then I gave their tag numbers to the gw.
They apologized to them as well I think we got the point across very bluntly.
Just wanted to share the disappointment with you guys!

Yeah, that was a little tidbit missing from the story.

Some guys fly them around temple. They take off right outside my neighborhood.

I keep telling my wife I’m going to buy a setup and learn. I fly for work, fly Cessnas for fun, and now want to get one of those strapped to my back.

I have watched quite a few videos on the sport. There is some pretty good stuff on YouTube. I wish they would come out with a decent electric motor one. I hate being strapped to a 5 gallon plastic gas tank next to an engine.

I have my private license but haven’t been current in quite a few years. A paramotor looks like a fun and cheaper way to get back in the air.

Kind of my thoughts. Yeah it’s expensive to get into, think I saw decent beginner setups for around $5000. But at least an hour of flying doesn’t cost me $150.

I don’t need to be Tucker Gott flying to chick fil a for some nuggets. Just want to toot around and enjoy being in the air.
