I think he was with the Byrds for a while and then Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. He got inducted into rock and roll hall of fame twice. Once for each band.

I had just started getting into music in the 8th grade - 1971. I got a portable cassette player for Christmas (new tech at the time) and rode my bike to a record store to score some tunes. First cassettes I bought were Deja Vu by Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Deep Purple in Rock and Who’s Next by the Who. I played those three incessantly to the the chagrin of my parents and started my life long love of rock N’ Roll. I especially loved - and still do - Crosby and the boys - their harmonies and acoustic guitars on that album still resonate with me. Crosby was an oddball for sure but that applies to close to 100% of rock stars.
