First of all, you need to believe in your abilities as a parent. I'm sure you have instilled the morals and beliefs that he needs. Secondly, a 12 pack of your favorite adult libation may not hurt either.
trict guidelines that you the parent follow and enforce... if you say in at 10 dont give them 1005... take the car for awhile tell them you want to know when they go where they go and who with.... dont forget texas has a youth driving law that limits how many passengers a teenager can have also... and make sure they know you can take their license and return it to DPS, and they can not get it back until they turn 18....
if you start firm and follow your own guidelines it will be easier on both of you
I feel your pain. I have a 16yr old daughter who just got her license.
So far she isn't driving by herself, but it's coming. Lord, she'll be in your hands.
Dang it... My lease is in Wise county and I "was" going to go up this holiday weekend!!
I feel your pain bro. My three are grown now but I remember those days...
Driver's Ed these days is typically taught by the parents. I taught my son. He's been driving for more than a year now, and I am confident about his driving skills because I put a lot of effort into actually teaching him to drive.
Tonight he's off to the prom with a 3:00 am curfew. Easy for me - her dad is the chauffeur! He'll mind his P's and Q's or her dad will whup his arse...
