Help me think through this fence question

Ok. So my property goes uphill front to the middle of the property, then it’s pretty level straight back. I have located the pins at the property lines. I want to set a post in the middle. How do I locate that spot? I can’t run a straight line as it would hit the ground. I had the surveyor mark it but the marker was removed for some reason.

The property line is 1320 feet.

So the top of the hill you see is essentially the middle, then it’s fairly level straight back. So no you can’t see corner to corner. You can see the pin marking the front property line in the picture.

Contact the Surveyor he may still have the GPS Coordinates.

Can you get the surveyor to come back out and drive 3 or 4 iron rods down the property line to have for future reference?

How exact are you needing it to be? If it needs to be spot on, I would call the surveyor back.

Ladder on one diagonal pin and a flag on a pole on the other then a marker for the middle. then repeat process for the other diagonal. may have go back and forth a couple times to get it zeroed in. takes 2 people but easier with 3

Why don't you driver a couple of 8-10' t-posts and run a line on top. That should be high enough off of the ground with some tension to find the middle.

String on front corner, another string on back corner. Pull from a vantage point that you can see both markers

Get two strings. 660’ long. Start one at front pin and one at back pin. Meet in the middle.

how exact is needed? use the Huntstand app on your phone and measure where you are to each of the corners.

I think I read the OP wrong. If you are wanting center of the fence line, put a metal post at each corner then stretch the line. pop the barbwire or smooth wire in the center high point and it will straighten up. just need it tight, then measure 660 feet.

                          Sounds like that would work

OP - Just for clarification, are you trying to find the middle of the property line from front to back, or the middle of the lot?
