If you need to see every single point on a deer at long distance, well you will need something with better glass. If you want to check if a buck is mature with a nice frame, then they are good for that.

I don’t do any long range stuff. Inside of a couple hundred yards mostly. Probably mount an iPhone for pictures and range use.
For reference, granted not a vortex, but for power reference this is 450 yards on about 25x with my phone scope through my spotter. Picture is grainy cause it’s a screen shot of a video but you get the idea.
If just looking at bullet holes at the range or being able to take photos from a phone, the zoom on the 65mm objective is plenty good enough.
