I haven't used a smokepole since a Canada hunt in 2009. Borrowed one this year, got it cleaned up and sighted in at 75 yards.

Finally got in a blind this evening. Have had no daylight pics of deer or hogs in weeks (acorn central) but wanted to sit and relax and read a book.
Had a few minutes of shooting light left when I heard a little crunching.
Forgot my binos so put the scope of the CVA Wolf on the feeder and saw a big pig at 80 yards.
Pig fed towards me forever as the daylight dwindled. He finally turned and I put the crosshairs dead on the base of his neck, confident in the shot.
When the smoke cleared, he was still there. DRT. Not the biggest one I've killed on KCA Ranch but dang close. Used the mule to drag him to the Hog Graveyard. He stunk like a boar hog...oh wait.
My hunting buddy Daisy had to join in for the LDPs and a hog chewing session.
