I had a great hunt with my daughter and friend on the King last week. We saw a lot of Nilgai and they lived up to their reputation of being wild and a worthy adversary to stalk. We were successful on 2 very nice bulls thanks to our guide, Simon who did a great job. I capitalized on my bull when we caught him drinking at a pond around lunch time. One shot and he dropped in his tracks. Unfortunately he kicked and fell in the pond. We fished him out and got him taken care of. Next we went to the dunes for the evening hunt to find another old blue bull. Those dunes are an amazing landscape. We found a bull feeding 1000 yds across and made a stalk to within 150yds where my buddy made a great shot. We saw lots of nice deer, water buck, pigs and javelina. I cherish the memories made with my daughter and good friend. Nilgai have definitely moved up on the list of animals I enjoy pursuing.
