I hunt both sides of Concordia parish in Avoyelles and Catahoula parish and I saw bucks chasing from Friday until yesterday when I left. The majority of bucks i saw was 9-11:30 am then again around 2:30 when i got back in stand. Didn't see much late afternoon.
We had deer moving all day couple weeks ago in Madison parish

Hope you're hunting with a bunch of people from South Louisiana. The food North of I10 is not as good as South of I10.

Grew up hunting in Vernon parish. My first deer lease was in Tangipahoa. At this point the deer are well educated. The temps go from cold to hot and hot to cold.

Try and make an all day sit. You may just get one mid-day.

Good luck, and if you can, do a live hunt.
Well, me too. Hunted Vernon, Rapides, Calcasieu, Beauregard, growing up. A lot of party hunting back in the day.

you weren't far from me. I live in Jena now and hunt Catahoula Parish but used to live right at the foot of the Jonesville bridge. Wildsville side. We own the fields underneath the bridge.
