Those are some sharp looking jigs!!

Yesterday was possible the worst day of tournament fishing we’ve ever had! Don’t like the picture on the new 16 yet. Blind spot from 8-15’ you couldn’t see your bait! Went back to the old 12” today and will update and work on the picture later. Got the trolling motors working on the back but already need to modify the brackets cause they flex. Hopefully make it through today without losing one! Maybe can find a 3 pounder today and make up for all the struggle. It’s fishing nothing like last year. Big fish are far and few between!

Good luck today. Still got a chance at the BF prize!

They work fine! We forgot to use them most of the day cause we've never had them before but we're gonna figure them out. They'll be on my slug before long!

Belly’s full from Waffle House! 430 miles to go!! Terrorize Tx crappie for a week or so then head to Eufaula! Wish I would have gotten there before the off limits period but it didn’t happen!! That’s a lot of lake to break down in 2.5 days!

Maybe I'll get lucky & someone can give me some last minute input, since I know several of you are East Texas folks. Wife & I stayed the weekend here on Lake Tyler for our anniversary and we spent a little time fishing for both bass and crappie. Needless to say it was a bust. We have the boat loaded up and head home to Pearland in the morning. I'd love to put her on some fish and am looking at options between here and home. Based on location Lake Palestine makes the most sense, but I'm not even sure where to start. I'm guessing right now the best bet is somewhere on the north end of the lake in shallow water. Any suggestions on launches and where to start? Or would there be a better option than Palestine?

                      Thanks.

A little more out of the way, but not opposed to driving if worth it.

Lake Palestine is no Lake Conroe but you might do well there.

I would start around the middle of the lake and fish the shallow water in the creeks. Don’t forget the boat houses and docks. Good luck !
