Yea here on Livingston those males turn almost solid black during the spawn. And then the rest of the year I can’t tell them apart from the females.

We were doing pretty good until my power pole blew a hydraulic hose while stuck in the mud in 7’ of water! In case anyone was wondering you can nearly give yourself a heart attack trying to pull a 10’ power pole blade up without unhooking the other hydraulic hose but once you release it you can manually raise it fairly easily!

Cedar Creek dock shooting yesterday and they had lock jaw. Only managed a few keepers. Livescope showed them stacked under docks in 10-15ft of water Wind was bad and made dock shooting hard. I wish we had brought some minners cause they did cotton to 1/8oz jigs.
Heading to Lake Kiowa this morning to fill my cooler with bigguns. I'll have some minners this morning.

Looking for some battery input. I have 15.5 ' xpress flat bottom with an xi3, livescope, gt56, and 2 10" graphs. Do i NEED a lithium battery? If so what AH? I seldom fish for more than half a day but would like to be able to fish all day if i want. Are yall running livescope on a separate battery to avoid interference? I have ran it on dewalts up to this point. I ran trolling motor and scope off same battery yesterday and i felt my image was worse, but could be other factors.

These lithium batteries are crazy expensive. And i would need to buy a charger for them. Tell me why I shouldn't just buy a $150 lead trolling battery.
