This ^^^ if it’s a good show you’ll be standing the whole time or watching the back
Of peoples head.
Also recommend taking the small cooler for eats/drinks and not standing in line/s for 1/2 the concert
Restrooms and concessions are at the top. It’s a loooooong uphill walk if you’re near the bottom.
There are some at the bottom too. The beer lines were ridiculous. I think we were in row 29 center left, it was great but I watched for a while from the very top and that was fine too. Really neat place, hard to go wrong.
We stayed in Golden, it was an 8 minute Uber to the show, and a bunch of cool old bars downtown.
If you sit on the ends close to the aisle, you'll have people coming and going over you all night. If you sit in the middle and don't drink a bunch and have to be one of those people constantly coming and going, then you'll have fewer interruptions. Views are decent everywhere, just different angles and distances.
We'll be staying in the area in a couple weeks. Got a cabin in coal creek. Any particular spots you'd recommend or any other must-dos?
Downtown Golden, down by the brewery, has all sorts of different types of bars. There are some really old saloon type joints that we enjoyed, and there are some newer, more contemporary places with lots of craft beers. I would say just get down there, and walk around. It’s really easy to get around… And the Coors original on tap taste better than anywhere else you’ll ever have it.
Golden Mill is a big indoor outdoor joint with tons of craft beers on tap where you get a card and pay by the ounce…it’s like a gas pump. I’m not a huge craft beer guy, but they had some good ones.
Buffalo Rose was a place I really liked, if it hadn’t been so crowded we would have stayed there a while, great food too.
I don’t remember the names of the old saloons we stopped at, but they’re easy to spot.
Been there 5 or 6 times. Not a bad seat in the house, just a matter of what view you want. As some have said above lots of places to stay and lots to eat and drink in Golden. The last couple of times, we've stayed in Evergreen at Highland Haven which is a B&B. Neat place and about 15-20 minutes from RR. One thing we usually do is make reservations at the on-site restaurant. They will have your name at the upper gate and you get admitted before the doors open. The food is ok but getting in ahead of the crowd is very worthwhile, at least at the shows we've been to.
I've been there a couple times and like others have said there is no bad seat. One piece of advice, if a hippie girls offers you chocolates don't eat em... or if you do buckle up because it'll be an interesting ride.
Tons of great stuff to do in the area and great restaurants and bars all over. I can't remember the breweries we used to go to in Golden but I never had a bad meal there in any of the places we went.
