Hopefully they got to him quick enough the brain activity is still there. Im sure they have an idea with test but they wont say until certain.
Although he wasn't able to speak, he was able to write notes to his Dr to communicate at some point today. At least that's what I've seen online.

I hope he continues to make a full recovery!

Glad he's doing better. And just like that, praying is now allowed.

Man I got choked up when I heard that report. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I heard he woke up late yesterday or today. Said he was asking who won the game. Fantastic news! As I said earlier, God has a plan for him. He clearly is not finished here on Earth, and the news confirms that.

I am looking forward to the NFL causation analysis. They definitely need to figure out what caused the heart attack, and make some changes to address it. The potential of being killed on the field, live on TV, is not something I personally care to watch, or have to explain to my kids.

A football pad company is probably already looking into modifying there chest protection on the pads.
It is great news and will continue to pray for him, his family and his extended family that share the sport.

The thing is, they used to cover most of the upper chest, but they’ve been getting smaller and lighter as players try to be faster and more nimble.

This is just my armchair opinion, but they haven't confirmed that was the cause yet. Which is why I am really interested in the investigation. Also, how has hockey dealt with this type of injury? I'd imagine a goalie already has a pad for this area. But goalies are way less mobile than a cornerback/safety/wide receiver, heck even runningbacks, and we all know those guys shy away from too many pads.

I am wondering if there is some other part of the hit we can't quite see on the videos out there now that was the cause.

N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is breathing on his own and able to talk after having his breathing tube removed, his agent said Friday — the latest step in his remarkable recovery in the four days since going into cardiac arrest and being resuscitated on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

I’d rather hear the truth. I bet it’s not going to be what I think caused it.
