    Cheap AR in stock

One of the guys called earlier today and these guys have a DPMS Panther in stock for $699. I've not verified, but figured yall might want to know.

That's the cheapest I've seen them since the insanity started. The gun shop I frequent has plenty of them in stock and in good variety too. I'm ready for a sense of normalcy so I can make it out to the range more often.

I am hoping the prices come down and more stock is available. I hate to wait.

AR's may be in stock but I still can't find anything reloading related.

            My thoughts as well Billy.

DMPS Sportical is about as bare bones, low end as they come.

Scored on 1000 CCI 300 primers yesterday for $30. Woohoo!

I see you picked up on my very subtle pun with the subject.

                forgive my ignorance...
What does a 5.56NATO round equal?

Also can this be delivered to my door> or does it have to go to a dealer first?

Is a 16" barrel that big of a diff .. most I see have 20"?

I thought DPMS was a pretty well respected name in black rifles...I mean, just because it is "bare bones" doesn't mean it's a piece of crap right? I wouldn't mind owning an AR, but I refuse to pay the overinflated prices for something I consider to be nothing more than a plinking toy. I'm just saying, would I be "shooting myself in the foot" if I bought one of these as just that...a plinking toy? Sorry for the pun, but figured I'd keep it going.

5.56 is the same as .223 off the shelf. No you need to have it sent to an FFL dealer. They will usually change a % or handling fee.

It is a complete gun that would have to go to an FFL.

16" is probably the most popular model.

DPMS is a decent "budget" AR. IMO they took a lot of the the things off that make an AR and AR.

It would probably be fine for the casual shooter.

To elaborate on what the others said, you can shoot .223 and 5.56 rounds in a 5.56 chambered weapon, but you cannot shoot 5.56 in a .223 chambered weapon due to it's higher pressures.

They're all over man. I found a guy via google search that's in my neighborhood and does FFL transfers for $20 out of his living room.

Go on Gunbroker and look up FFLs in your area.
