My question is that Ive been stuck at 257 give or take now for about a month. I’ve really cut back on food and still nothing. What do I need to do to get over this hump? Any help

These are all approximates but you’ll probably want to stay 400-700 cals below what you burn to stay at a solid weight loss rate. Sometimes you’ll hit plateaus and don’t starve yourself too much or else your body will start trying to breakdown muscle.
Try eating more Whole Foods and also aim for a solid protein goal (I’d suggest 225-250 grams or 80-100% in grams per body weight Lbs)
keep pushing and good luck!

I am 6'2 and was 265 at heaviest...started the busydad training 20 minutes a day m-f and feel better than i have in 10 years.
the key is diet AND exercise.
blessings on the journey
Fast walking and lifting weights 15-20 minutes

Your BMR should be 2000-2200 cals and then activity is probably burning 600-900 more calories if I had to guess. As you become more fit and build muscle your BMR will go up slightly and your exercises will be less efficient if you keep doing the same thing and will have to routinely increase some intensity. Basically adjusting the food and exercise levers as needed.

I slept like a baby. Thank goodness. I hit it this morning with a vengeance. Arms and legs today. Went back to 20/15/10/5 reps cu I like the burn so much.
Sled leg press/calf raise/BB curl/overhead rope extension/incline sit up
Leg extension/standing leg curl/cable pushdown supinated grip/hammer curl bar over preacher bench
Hip abduction/spider curls/cable pushdown/prone leg curl
Getting shots in my lower back again tomorrow AM, so I'm on the fence about hitting it in the morning.

Legs done! 55 mins & 800cals down the drain.
rest of the day is board meetings and attorney meetings so won’t be to much more movement or activity on my end lol
Edit: Did good with my diet until dinner....Went from being a few hundred cals under to 1000 cals over lol O'well. Just have to stay consistent over the long haul!

Knocked out an awesome chest and tris workout with a solid blend of cardio. Was tough keeping the heart rate up and only floated around 148 BPM.
74 mins and 1025 cals. I don’t plan on ruining if it with a bad diet today lol
Believe tomorrow will be Back and Core with potentially some pickleball for cardio....Last edited by 150class; 10-05-2023, 01:45 PM.
