I got serious and started eating better and cutting back. Started walking every morning 3-5 miles a day, and lifting weights for about 20 minutes a day. I’m weighing in at 257 as of this morning. My question is that Ive been stuck at 257 give or take now for about a month. I’ve really cut back on food and still nothing. What do I need to do to get over this hump? Any help
What exactly have you cut back on? Portions? Calories? What do your macros look like? Kudos to you for losing that 31 pounds!

Portions and calories big time, I don’t know anything about how to do macros. Thank you feel 100% better already. My goal is 245

So today for instance I walked 4 1/2 miles lifted for 15 minutes and only thing I’ve eaten is a keto tortilla with 3 pieces of turkey on it.

My initial thought is you are either eating to much or not counting calories correctly (still consuming to much). Your BMR should be 2000-2200 cals and then activity is probably burning 600-900 more calories if I had to guess. As you become more fit and build muscle your BMR will go up slightly and your exercises will be less efficient if you keep doing the same thing and will have to routinely increase some intensity. Basically adjusting the food and exercise levers as needed.

These are all approximates but you’ll probably want to stay 400-700 cals below what you burn to stay at a solid weight loss rate. Sometimes you’ll hit plateaus and don’t starve yourself too much or else your body will start trying to breakdown muscle.

Try eating more Whole Foods and also aim for a solid protein goal (I’d suggest 225-250 grams or 80-100% in grams per body weight Lbs)

              keep pushing and good luck!

                anything besides walking?

I am 6'2 and was 265 at heaviest...started the busydad training 20 minutes a day m-f and feel better than i have in 10 years.

the key is diet AND exercise.

                blessings on the journey
Don’t know anything about ketosis lol
Fast walking and lifting weights 15-20 minutes

I really don’t count hard core just kinda guess. So today I had the keto tortilla and turkey, and for dinner 2 small fried deer steaks and some peas. That’s pretty much what I do everyday as far as eating. I thought about alternating bike riding and walking but didn’t know if that would do anything. Any suggestions on how to change it up?

Probably should try changing your workout routine. Increase the amount of weight lifting you do and maybe some different cardio, like laps in a pool or something. Whatever you di, stay consistent. Consistent over intensity works better.

I slept like a baby. Thank goodness. I hit it this morning with a vengeance. Arms and legs today. Went back to 20/15/10/5 reps cu I like the burn so much.

                        Sled leg press/calf raise/BB curl/overhead rope extension/incline sit up
Leg extension/standing leg curl/cable pushdown supinated grip/hammer curl bar over preacher bench
                        Hip abduction/spider curls/cable pushdown/prone leg curl

Getting shots in my lower back again tomorrow AM, so I'm on the fence about hitting it in the morning.

Legs done! 55 mins & 800cals down the drain.

rest of the day is board meetings and attorney meetings so won’t be to much more movement or activity on my end lol

Edit: Did good with my diet until dinner.... Went from being a few hundred cals under to 1000 cals over lol O'well. Just have to stay consistent over the long haul!

Knocked out an awesome chest and tris workout with a solid blend of cardio.

74 mins and 1025 cals. I don’t plan on running if it with a bad diet today lol

Knocked out an awesome chest and tris workout with a solid blend of cardio. Was tough keeping the heart rate up and only floated around 148 BPM.

Believe tomorrow will be Back and Core with potentially some pickleball for cardio....
