Weird, yeah we walked into the shop. I don't remember all the details but he said it didn't look like a normal break or something like that. I think he gave us half off a new one but don't quote me on that. Half priced new one is better than a broken one and I love the rods so we went with it. We have two spinners as well.

I will say if you are throwing an egg beater I have gone to Ugly Stick Lite 7’6”. I took my reels off two Kislers. Balance well- light- and I can beat them up and they still rock and don’t break. Wish they had better rod guides but thinking of replacing those myself.

Glen - just picked this up for the Bamboo fly blank build. Split bamboo = hexagon shape, it will not spin in my PacBay power wrapper.

This is all you need, I can sit down and we can spend some down time between runs to get you rolling.

With the "how to" on the front, you can't get it wrong.





Once you get bit, when the weather is off, and your 7 day Saturday schedule, needs some relaxation time due to weather, fun to spin a few for the quiver.

Thanks I was looking at them. How are they as far as weight goes? We wade 99.99% of the time so that’s my main focus is light weight.

They are pretty dang light. Worth taking a look. I have a set of Laguna Liquid 7' med spinning rods and they are pretty dang light and have proven to be very durable as well.

I also have a couple of their custom wading rods and they are excellent but I like the Liquids alot too.

Fix’en the ride

My salt water ride.
Son had some tire and hub issues he’s been working on with the trailer. Got them done now he’s replacing the lights on the trailer also. Glad he’s down there so I can just show up and fish!

He moved to Rockport so we will learning some new water over there at Aransas Bay.
He has always fished Corpus Christi Bay or south of Bird Island. Hope it’s a quick lesson!

Boys found a few more fish Tuesday before we had to pack up and go home. Gloom finally lifted and weather turned gorgeous. Always when it’s time to leave. Lots of ducks moving around mid-day as well.

Nice man. Ducks Redheads? We're still in big game mode for now but switching to ducks weekend after next to finish out the season. You're not joking about the weather always being beautiful on the way out down there, seems to really be a thing.

Took the bride this evening. Kept a few drum. This would have been a good tournament red. He was just at 28 inches

Buddy fished in the dark after he got off work this morning. Had planned on hunting tonight, but with the bright full moon, I might just load up my kayak.
