Their old cabin got washed into the channel and bobbed like a cork for a couple weeks, they drug it out and propped it up on cribbing to use while they built the new clubhouse. That old cabin is now mine, we drug it 3/4 mile down the bay, took 7 hours just to drag it. Over the next couple months it was propped up on cribbing while I worked to get poles under it jetted in for the foundation. I've rebuilt a ton of that thing and replaced lots of rotted out stuff and finally have a nice deck built around it.
If I ever meet you in person I'll relay a funny story about DJ's place on one stormy night we showed up around 2am in the old barge I built.
I'm in for the story as well, I am one of the partners that own the place with DJ. Havent been but one time so far this year but usually spend a lot of time out there. Once the kids are out of school I will be there!!

I normally like to roll in on Sunday evenings when it's a ghost town and leave on Thursdays before the circus starts, but gotta make trips around wife's work windows sometimes. Look for the Boatright with the TBH sticker on the windshield.
Fished this morning for an hour half after I got off work. Water was pretty dang high, pretty dang clean, and just a little more than slick calm. Haven’t thrown any hard baits in a long time. Buddy keeps poking fun at me for having so much hardware and never using it. So I kept a top water on the whole time.
Missed 4 blow ups, and landed 2 trout that were 14-16”.
Working until Friday, so this was just a needed get out the house and wet a line trip. Not as good as I wanted, but better than going home and going to bed.

You too huh? My best hunting buddy's birthday is a day before mine, two other old beach shark fishing buddies are within a week as well. That's actually how I ended up meeting them and hanging out, we all always ended up in PINS the same weekend every year. Lol

We’re y’all bank fishing at the end of Scurlock? I passed by a time or 2 and saw some folks wetting a line.
Yes that was us, had the Golf carts down there.
I think I saw you Friday night questioning a gentleman after leaving the burger joint [emoji15]
